International Discussion Meeting on Crystal Growth
(39th Toronkai)

‐Learning fundamentals of crystal growth by lectures and practical courses‐

We are pleased to announce that International Summer School on Crystal Growth (the 39th Japanese Summer School on Crystal Growth) will be held in Lake Biwa, Shiga, Japan on September 24-26, 2015. The venue of the school will be DoshishaBiwako Retreat Center of Doshisha University: it will take about 1.5-2.0 hours from Nagoya and 0.5-1.0 hour from Kyoto. Two up-and-coming foreign researchers will give invited lectures. Four practical courses on the observation/simulation of crystal growth processes will be also held in the afternoon of the second day. Four lectures of the practical courses will also give lectures on their most advanced researches. In addition, we are planning to hold poster presentations. All of the lecturers and students will stay in the same lodging for three days. The friendly and at-home atmosphere will be a valuable opportunity for both lecturers and students. We cordially invite you to join the stimulating summer school under the friendly and at-home atmosphere.
